The Question You Need to Ask Before Your Next Big Goal
I had the opportunity to catch up with a friend over lunch, and I walked away feeling so inspired ✨ that I knew I had to share it with you.
We talked about our work, our ambitions, and the unexpected pivots our careers have taken. She’s currently in the process of shifting her focus—stepping back from an aspect of her business that, while profitable, isn't what she truly enjoys or wants to be doing.
I was struck by her self-awareness and courage. It takes guts to intentionally move away from something that works on paper to better align your life with what actually energizes you. It’s a challenge many of us face, isn't it? To stop, evaluate, and choose a different path.
Our conversation brought up four powerful questions 💡 for anyone out there consistently pushing to achieve more. I’ll be the first to admit I’m a repeat offender on some of these and have to constantly keep myself in check.
As we continued talking, the conversation naturally shifted to how we could support each other through these reflections. My first thought was accountability. It’s invaluable to have someone in your corner who can champion your commitment to yourself while also encouraging you to keep going when things get tough.
This is why I encourage you to have a similar conversation. Grab a coffee ☕ or call someone in your circle and talk about your goals.💬
Sometimes the most meaningful growth comes from asking the right questions—and having someone you trust to listen. 💛
