You have accomplished incredible things. And still, there is an itch under your skin you cannot quite name.
There is a faster way to start naming it than sitting with it for another month. I built a free AI Clarity Prompt that walks you through the first move, pulling what has been pulling at you out of your head and onto the page in a single focused sitting.
You get the two-page prompt as a PDF, plus a short video
on using it and staying private with AI.
Opting in also adds you to my newsletter, where I share insights on clarity, impact, and leading at altitude. You can step off the list anytime.
The itch is not a problem to fix. It is a signal worth trusting. And it has been waiting on your permission.
From the outside, you have it handled.
People bring you their hardest problems because you tend to see the answer before they finish the question.
You have built things, led things, carried things. On paper, and to everyone watching, you have arrived.
And still, there is the itch.
It shows up in the quiet moments, in the space between the wins, when the next real move is not as obvious as everything that came before it.
You have reached for it more than once and tried to put words to it, and it stays just out of focus, still taking shape.
Not because you have not thought about it. You have thought about it plenty.
It has simply not resolved into something you can name and act on.
If you have reached clarity before and watched it slip, consider this:
Clarity is perishable.
It drifts when life gets loud.
🔸 The role expands.
🔸 The people who need you multiply.
🔸 The days fill with things that are real and pressing.
And one quiet morning the thing you were once sure of has gone soft at the edges. That is what clarity does when it is not tended.
And sometimes it is not a slow drift.
Sometimes clarity is taken all at once, by a move, a loss, a diagnosis, a role that ended before you were ready.
The ground shifts, and the map you were working from stops matching the terrain.
Reaching for clarity again after that is not starting over.
It is meeting the new ground where it actually is. That kind of upheaval can be disorienting, and can shake your self-confidence.
Clarity that lasts is not something you find once and keep.
It is something you return to.
The itch under your skin is the signal that it is time to return to it now.
Think about where you are spending your energy right now.
You have real opportunities in front of you, and you have likely said yes to more of them than you can move on well.
From the outside it reads as range.
From the inside it can feel like you are spending yourself in a dozen places and not gaining the traction you most want.
Underneath that scatter, there is usually one quiet thing going on.
The itch has not been given a process.
You have been working it however the margins allow, in your own head, between everything else you carry. And the margins are a hard place to think. They are where the loud and the urgent take over.
So the itch gets a few minutes on a drive, a little more in the shower, and then the day reclaims you before anything resolves.
It has simply not had a dedicated place to become clear.
And that carries a quiet cost. Capability spread across too many commitments does not create acceleration. It slows everything down.
You feel it as a low hum underneath the wins, the sense that you are capable of more than your current scatter is letting you show, and the frustration that you are working hard but not moving forward.
Not a crisis. Just a persistent gap between what you could be moving on and what you are.
Consider what it costs to leave the itch where it is.
It does not quiet down on its own.
It keeps you in the in-between, the valley of indecision, where you are not moving left or right, just holding the question open and paying for it quietly.
Indecision is one of the most expensive states there is, because it runs in the background and draws down your energy, your time, and your mental bandwidth while you are trying to do everything else.
And the longer anyone stays in that valley, the harder the deciding gets, because the decisions that come from a depleted place are rarely anyone’s best.
Meanwhile the clarity you are reaching for stays perishable, and perishable clarity slips before you can act on it.
Six months from now, the itch is likely still there.
The real question is whether it is still unnamed, or whether you have finally given it a place to become something you can act on, because…
Clarity is perishable.
The first step
You do not need a program to take the first step.
You need the right questions, asked in the right order.
That is what the prompt is, a guided sequence I built to move you from a feeling you cannot describe to words you can actually work with.
The naming that usually takes weeks can start in one sitting.
who built this
Hi, I’m Jenn Landis. I climbed from an entry-level job at Walmart to ringing the bell on the NYSE as a senior executive for a multi-billion-dollar publicly traded company. I have spent more than twenty-five years helping senior leaders name what is next when the path is not yet clear.
I now use my expertise to help leaders gain clarity so they can ignite their ambition into impact. I’d love to help you, too.
I built this prompt from that work, and I am handing it to you to start - free of charge.
