From Adrenaline to Stillness: Finding Joy After a Big Breakthrough
It has been a wild and exciting season! I recently launched my book on Amazon in paperback, hardcover, and ebook. The early feedback has been positive and uplifting, and I encourage you to check out the book (link below 👇).
If you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription, the ebook is FREE. I’ve kept the cost of the book in all formats extremely low to make it accessible to anyone who wants it.
We also uploaded the Audible version. If you’re an audiobook fan like me, stay tuned! It will be released soon. The audiobook version includes a special addition: a bloopers reel from my stumbles and fumbles during recording, it’s sure to make you smile. 😊
I’m also thrilled to share that we recorded a podcast episode featuring extreme sportswoman, author, speaker, and FEAR coach, Jennie “Adrenajen” Milton. Jennie shares stories of her breakthrough moments and the path that led to her FEAR framework. You’ll both enjoy the conversation and learn how to conquer your FEAR.
So many good things are happening, and yet this journey is also tough in ways I didn’t expect 😅. When I worked as a corporate executive, I would plan for a “post-project dip” for myself and my team. We would schedule a gradual transition back to “normal” work, celebrate the accomplishment with a party, and include paid time off. We knew we’d hit a wall and need time to readjust.
Strangely, I didn’t do the same for myself as an entrepreneur. How short-sighted of me! We often do things well for others that we fail to do for ourselves.
After launching my book 📚, I found myself working solo at my desk, without the drive and urgency that had propelled me through the launch. While the work of getting the book into people’s hands had just begun, I felt exhausted. I had done it. It was over. Now what? 🤷♀️
Even though I have a HUGE list that answers the “now what” question, I felt a little lost and a lot tired 💤.
I know you’ve been there too 🤝.
We don’t always realize how much adrenaline and momentum have been carrying us until it’s gone. That’s why it’s so important to take time to rest, replenish, and appreciate the support of the amazing people in our lives. I am deeply grateful for everyone who encourages me and responds when something I share resonates. That connection brings incredible joy, a sense of community, and inspires me to show up fully for others as they pursue their next breakthrough. 💛
I hope you are also taking time to rest and replenish. How do you recharge? I’d love to learn from you.
Thank you, my friend! I’m signing off to go on a hike with James and Gracie 👇
