[1] Request for Support & The LAUNCH Process

Thank you for Supporting My Book Launch!

“Amazon book reviews are my new love language.” – Ali Abdaal

I couldn’t agree more with Ali! We all rely on strangers’ opinions and experiences with goods and services we contemplate purchasing, so it comes as no surprise that books on Amazon are heavily dependent on reviews for sales and for Amazon’s algorithm to suggest them to those who are searching for their next great find. That is even more true for independent authors like me!

Reviews on Amazon make or break a book’s launch. So, with my hat in my hand, I humbly ask for your support in one of three ways.

  1. ♥ Buy a copy of the book during the first week of the book’s launch (July 29 – August 5). The book will be available in ebook, paperback, hardcover, and audiobook formats. I’ve priced the book as low as Amazon will allow.

  2. ♥♥ Buy a copy of the book and write a review. Your comments will help my book get into the hands of someone who needs the help and encouragement provided by my story and experiences. Reviews can be one or two sentences. I even have some sample reviews you can use as a template to make the process even easier!

  3. ♥♥♥ Buy a copy of the book, write a review, and tell the people in your network about the book. (A girl can dream. ☺)

Here's how the review process works:

  • You must have purchased at least $50 with Amazon in the last year.

  • You don’t have to buy the book to review it.

  • You don’t have to read the entire book to review it. I’ve provided a summary of the book that includes the core concepts, writing samples, and the overall structure and intent of the book.

  • If you would like to read the entire book, nothing would make me happier, and the entire manuscript is provided as a pdf.

  • If you purchase the paperback ($9.99) and leave a review, it will appear as a “verified purchase” on your review.

  • If you don’t buy the book (and that’s totally OK), just start the review with “I received a free copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.” Easy peasy.

THE EASY BUTTON:

To make this process as easy as possible, here are the links you need all in one place, along with some sample reviews / starter templates:

Full disclosure: I wrote this book (all 70,000+ words) on my own. I leveraged AI occasionally for research, but the content of the book came from my experiences, education, and brain alone. And yes, I’m exhausted… so, I had an AI tool “read” my book and draft fill-in-the-blank template reviews to provide you with an easy starting place when drafting your own review. While not truly plug-and-play reviews, I think these templates will kick-start your thinking and make writing a review much easier!

Finally, if you are in the process of writing your own (or next) book, I’d love to support you in turn. Writing and launching a book is an adventure in self-discipline, mind game shenanigans, and sheer grit. If I can help you, friend, count me in!
